About

This app displays all fifteen of the Two Part Inventions by Johann Sebastian Bach, in all keys and with optional symmetrical inversion in each key. The scores are produced with my Mozart Transposition Engine, are typset with GNU Lilypond, and are designed to be used with my Kundalini Piano Mirror.

Additionally, Bach's original autograph of each invention can also be viewed for comparison.

Instructions

• Acoustic Piano

  Play any of the inventions in any key by using the score dropdown to select an invention, and the transpose up / down buttons to select a transposition.

• Digital Piano

  On a digital piano equipped with the Kundalini Piano Mirror, in addition to selecting your invention and transposition, you can also use the middle dropdown to display symmetrically inverted notations. In such a case, configure the Piano Mirror to use the same mode as the middle dropdown, and to use the split point indicated on each invention.
